Recently,  our community journalist group, Tu voz digital,  had the opportunity to interview Beatriz Valencia,  member of the New Mexico Hispanic Heritage Committee, as part of the celebrations for Hispanic Heritage Month. During the conversation, Beatriz shared her insights on the significance of this month, the committee’s objectives, and the importance of recognizing the contributions of the Hispanic community in New Mexico and beyond.

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15 and honors the rich cultural, historical, and social heritage of Hispanic peoples.
