Tu voz digital, periodismo comunitario de Encuentro y el colectivo Raices de KUNM 89.9FM, han unido fuerzas para resaltar las historias de la comunidad inmigrante latinx de Nuevo México.Producidas por el equipo de periodistas comunitarios de TVD con el apoyo de Raíces, estas cápsulas informativas buscan retratar la lucha del migrante, dar a conocer los retos que viven día a día en medio de la discriminacion sistemática que aun existe, aplaudir sus experiencias, logros así enfatizar las enormes contribuciones que aportan a la tierra del Encanto.

En esta ocasión, les presentamos las que son las dos primeras de una serie de cápsulas que serán transmitidas en el show radial “Raíces” a las 4pm a través de KUNM 89.9FM el último sábado del mes. La primera cápsula que escucharán a continuación, va de la mano de nuestro periodista comunitario Mario Aguilar quien se dio a al tarea de entrevistar al Biólogo Jorge Bernal, Co-Director de la organización local “salud Morena”, organización dedicada a garantizar salud óptima y una atención equitativa para las poblaciones más vulnerables de Nuevo México, con la finalidad de indagar en el tema de la correlación entre el cambio climático y la migración y el fuerte impacto que tiene y seguirá teniendo en la migración del futuro. En la segunda cápsula, producida por Maricela Ramirez y Guillermina Quiroz, escucharan la historia de Guadalupe Atayde, sobreviviente de Cáncer de seno que nos cuenta cómo fue afrontar el difícil diagnóstico en el sistema de salud de NM y da un mensaje de esperanza a todas la personas que enfrentan esta batalla Produccion: Tu voz digital (Mario Aguilar, Maricela Ramirez, Guillermina Quiroz) Edición: Raices (Guillermina Quiroz)

Tu Voz Digital (TVD), Community Journalism from Encuentro, and the Raices collective of KUNM 89.9FM have joined hands to bring attention to the stories of the Latinx immigrant community in New Mexico. These informative programs are created by TVD’s team of community journalists, with the support of Raíces, and aim to highlight the difficulties and challenges faced by migrants every day, despite the systematic discrimination that still exists. The programs also celebrate the experiences and accomplishments of the Latinx community, acknowledging the significant contributions they make to the land of Enchantment.

We are thrilled to present the first two of a series of capsules that will be broadcast on the radio show “Raíces” at 4 pm through KUNM 89.9FM. The first capsule features an interview conducted by our community journalist, Mario Aguilar, with Biologist Jorge Bernal, Co-Director of the local organization “Salud Morena”. The organization is dedicated to ensuring optimal health and equitable attention for the most vulnerable populations in New Mexico. The interview investigates the correlation between climate change and migration and the strong impact it has and will continue to have on future migration. In the second capsule, produced by Maricela Ramirez and Guillermina Quiroz, you will hear the story of Guadalupe Atayde, a breast cancer survivor. She shares her experience of facing the problematic diagnosis in the NM health system and gives a message of hope to all people who are fighting this battle.
